Barbara L. Chamberlain, 90, of Lincoln (formerly of Decatur) passed away Thursday August 19, 2010 at The Christian Village in Lincoln, IL.

A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be 11:30 AM Saturday August 28, 2010 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood St. Funeral Home with visitation one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery in Harristown. Condolences may be sent to www.dawson-wikoff.com.

Barbara was born on November 9, 1919 in Decatur the daughter of Claude and Marie Elkins Young. She married Robert B. Chamberlain on June 6, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2002. Barbara and her husband Robert were volunteers for many years at Fair Havens Christian Home and she was a member of Central Christian Church in Decatur.

Barbara is survived by her children Robert B. Chamberlain and his wife Jeanette of Lincoln, Ronald L. Chamberlain and his wife Lucy of Dixon and Carol A. Council of Athens; brother Claude Young of Decatur; brother-in-law Tom Fear of FL.; sister-in-laws Norma Chamberlain of S.C. and Mary Young of FL.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Sandra Kay, two brothers and one sister.
